My whole life my parents have used slurs and insults to describe me doing a behavior they found undesirable.
“slut”
“bitch”
“you’re such a guy!”
“dyke”
etc..
My father has been saying the “you’re such a guy” insult a lot lately. I cannot help but be sensitive in this situation. He believes women should be silent, stay in the kitchen, and look sexy at all times. I can understand his disappointment in having me for a daughter, but can’t he keep it to himself? I’m 25, I’m not changing, I’m not growing into a new person. I have been this way my whole life. I would think he would accept that by now.
