Sorry if I'm not understanding correctly but I see people call some houses like a g*ypsy house (like the really small mobile home one) is it offensive to say that?

Yes, it is.  Slurs can become so common in day-to-day language but that doesn’t make them any less harmful.

Okay so I've trying to search around why g*psy is a slur but every site I come across says that the word g*psy itself isn't a slur but they way some people use it makes it a slur. Can you or a follower of yours clarify this?

Answer

“Gypsy” is an ethnic slur used to dehumanize Romani (and/or Roma) people. Romani people have large populations in Brazil, Spain, India, and reside all over the world, and their groups can be mixed race, biracial, and mixed-ethnicity. Because Romani people, as a whole, include many races the term is not a racial slur; however the Romani people have been called “gypsy” in a derogatory and dehumanizing way for centuries and have experienced genocide, assimilation, relocation, and more. I am speaking out of ignorance and have only a brief knowledge about the Romani people so I hope you keep researching, but definitely do not use the slur.
