This story is on my blog and Facebook, but it’s not as big as thee Mike Browns, Ferguson or Trayvon Martins type of news, but it’s tremendously huge to me and some. This young boy dealt with bullying which is a major silent killer of the society we live in. He grew weary and took a gun to school to take his own life in the boys bathroom. This story was reported two weeks ago. Shaq was the young boy nickname as a metaphor bc he actually was bullied bc he had growing challenges, he was very small to be 14yrs old, his bodied wasn’t found until 11pm later that night…which is a mystery bc all day no one didn’t notice he was missing or concern. What makes the story more said is his parents moved to Florida from New York to stop the bullies attacking their son which apparently still didn’t work. Also they just buried their 3week old baby and now they will bury their middle son Shaq. My heart is extremely heavy, and hits to close to home for me. Suicide and bullying are massive silent killers. I want everyone to speak out against bullying and suicide. #RIPSHAQ #LAMARHAWKINS #SUICIDE #BULLYING 💔

If individuals from an oppressed group(s) are “bullying” their oppressors is that not understandable and justifiable? Can you guess their motive? When I hear the word “bullying” a lot of not-okay things come to mind; however, I have seen several people claim social justice bloggers are bullying them when they are merely discussing, informing, and disagreeing with their accusers. Either way; an individual from an oppressed group is not obligated to be nice to their oppressors. I am sure you can understand that if someone in your life repeatedly hurt you (hopefully you don’t have anyone like that in your life) and systemically and institutionally oppressed you, you may not want to be nice to this person.
School will be starting in a little more than a week for my daughter and she is very nervous about going back to school and getting bullied again. Her favorite thing in the world is Care Bears so I made her a Care Bear necklace that she can wear to school and hopefully feel comforted by it.

Using the R word is cruel and offensive. You are promoting discrimination and prejudice towards people who are mentally disabled and or have a mental disorder. That is not okay. That is cruel. It doesn’t matter how much you disagree with someone; that word is not okay to use as an insult. Ever.

Background story:
She wrote to me first, and insulted me for fighting against the racist comments, slurs, and behavior of another tumblr user.
She wrote me many comments (off-anon) calling me bitch, cunt, etc even though I hadn’t insulted her.
She went on to insult my daughter (again off-anon). Then I received many anon messages insulting my daughter, some of which I published. The IEP address of those anon messages calling my daughter racial slurs and other insults matched the IEP address of the self-shot she posted.
I was angry, enraged, and called her a privileged, spoiled brat. That was wrong of me. But what would you have done if someone insulted your child? I am not a bully just because I insulted someone who was bullying me. Even though the insult I gave her is 100% true, it still wasn’t nice of me. And I admitted that.
But she has never, not once, apologized for insulting my baby. Nor did she apologize for her racist insults or other insults.
You all think she is the victim and I am the horrible bully but that isn’t the case.
I am actually scared by how many racist people there are in the world.
If you killed yourself there would be one less racist person.
I am not racist for telling people when they have done something racist. And it is not cool to even joke about suggestion anyone kill themselves. We are disagreeing but you do not see me telling you to harm yourself. It is not okay. Too many people consider suicide already.
