Do y'all have any advice for a white passing mixed Cherokee-Choctaw person? I get bs for it all the time and no one believes me when I tell them about my native heritage. It's really disheartening.

The best advice I can give you, which is extremely hard to apply, is to accept yourself. Once you accept yourself for all that you are, the words of others cannot hurt you. It is sad to feel like no one is seeing the real you, but you know who you are. Not everyone is going to like you, or accept you, and that’s okay. You only need people in your life who are supportive and kind to you. You are not alone.
