I do not pretend to be color blind; and I need to research what you mean by a ‘social construct’ before I can comment on that. The problem is not recognizing race and recognizing who is in control and doing harmful things, the problem is white people exploiting people of color and benefiting from it. I don’t believe stereotyping is always wrong. One needs to know who their oppressor is, who the enemy is, and it is a survival technique to assume that all white people are racist and harmful, because the majority of them are and they are in a unfair position of power. If racism wasn’t alive and well then generalizing white people wouldn’t be okay, but racism is alive and well, and white people continue to hold an oppressive position of power.

I am not trying to be argumentative and I understand why you must hold your views. But in my opinion, you are just as much fixated on race than the people you deride as racists. If you believe, as I do, that race is a social construct , why do you reinforce the divide by obsessing over what "white people" have done/are doing? Stereotyping is always wrong, and if someone made the sweeping generalizations you make about "white people" against your people, you would call him or her a racist, right?
