The summer powwow, our program put on earlier this month, had it’s ups and downs. There were plenty of dancers, drums, and vendors, but not a large crowd of people. Some vendors didn’t make as much as they would have liked though. The location was good, it was about 110 degrees which may have kept some people away, but I am wondering what else can be done to bring people in. Perhaps a tv commercial? On a brighter note, being that it was pretty much all native peoples there we were all joking around and had a lot of fun.
