Back home in North Carolina I was called a half breed and it literally broke my heart because it make me feel like I wasn't important to my tribe or my people...

Have you tried talking to other mixed race or biracial people about these feelings? It may be beneficial to understand that you aren’t alone and foster feelings of self acceptance.
Understanding their (those who aren’t accepting you) point of views might be helpful too. Understanding that Native peoples are exploited, abused, and disrespected (to say the least), which may make it that much more difficult to trust everyone, especially if that someone is white passing. I don’t know if you are white passing, but if you are that may be a contributing factor. What I am trying to say is ‘respect is earned’; be patient, be respectful, and accept yourself. Good luck <3
