Go back in time to save turkeys from being a popular meal; but doesn’t go back in time to stop the white settlers from committing genocide against Native Americans.

Genocide seems like a good subject for a kids movie.

Many Disney movies have sad/scary/oppressive settings; there are appropriate ways to discuss these issues with children without traumatizing them. However, most adults do not know the truth about what happened to Native Americans, let alone children. Why should lies be perpetuated? Why should children be taught time and time again to uphold animal lives over human lives?
