Are white ppl ever going to understand that native people actually DON'T get scholarships or free secondary education ? It's a myth made up by the government -- just like most of the treaty 'privileges' we have. Most native people don't go to uni or college BECAUSE they can't afford it,not because they're 'lazy' and 'stupid'. Meanwhile,I know dozens of white ppl with low,barely-passing grades who apply for scholarships and get them with no problems.

I have ndn friends who were able to get scholarships for participating and preserving their cultures; but it is not the same as getting a scholarship just for being ndn. Also, those scholarships were not a fraction of the cost of one “education”. I agree with you. White people want to believe that people of color get their entire education paid for and on-top-of-that, that they got the scholarship and enrollment into whatever college without having earned it. They just want to feel victimize to counteract their white guilt.
