like what I meant by some ppl cant afford to go vegan I mean ppl who gotta scrap up money and go to churches for food and shit u feel? not the average American family who got jobs and shit. big difference and I prob shoulda specified that

i know exactly what u mean. indigenous-rising made a good post about this a while back but i dont know how to find it. Going vegan is not an option to ppl with lower income or ppl who have to have specific diets

ah I remember that post! it had exactly the points  I was trying to make in my other post. I wish I could find it :C

just reblogged it again

Thank you!! so much!!

Thank you!!!

no problem;  I am glad i saw this post. I agree with you about being able to afford to go vegan is not something everyone can do. Especially peoples who live off of trade and homesteading. It is so easy to take for granted having money, and therefore a choice, in what one can choose to eat. And then there is the expense to consider. For example, the McDonald salad is $5.99 while they have a dollar chicken sandwich and burger. They do have a dollar salad but it is tiny.

yes thats also important. my high school class had to watch a documentary (i cant remember the name ugh) about poverty and how it relates to eating choices. The biggest thing they talked about was the cost of feeding a family of 4 from Mcdonalds versus a healthy meal from a supermarket.

I believe there is a correlation between poverty and health; and I believe it is something purposely implemented. I receive SNAP benefits and it gives me and my daughter enough to buy three $1.50 (each) meals a day (drinks included). Maybe I should do a post about healthy cheap meals..
