Maybe I don't get it...

All of the stupid statements and stances taken by outsiders. Yes outsiders.
I am a black straight man. I understand racism. Like it’s a college major. I have my PhD but im still reading, still engaging in order to learn more. A victim of racist physical attacks. Police brutality and racial discrimination. But I’m still learning.
Think about that…something that directly impacts me…I’m still learning.
If it’s an issue with the gay community I listen and stand with those being oppressed.
If it’s sexism against women I listen and stand with those being oppressed.
If I want to stop oppression, I must learn. Learning isn’t a 094 college course where one class gets me a degree that enables me to stand front and center.
Learning isn’t silencing those that are directly impacted.
But I see a lot of knowing.
Men who are “feminists” while telling a woman they disagree with that they are “emotional”.
Straight people speaking on behalf of the LGBTQ community while telling a transgender person to not get to “hostile” about being oppressed because it may hurt the cause.
A white person who is “committed” to fighting racism getting praise(monetary gain) for fighting the good fight.
Knowing is dangerous.
Knowing is privilege.
If you know so much about being oppressed as a group that you don’t belong to why are you benefiting while the very group that you are fighting the good fight isn’t seeing the same success?
I guess you only know you…not well at that either.
