you are being racist and sadly you won’t be punished for it; how will you learn from your mistakes if there are no consequences for your actions? I hope you will reflect on your actions and choose compassion. Meanwhile, we will suffer from your promotions of racism against our people.

thank you for being the most civil about this. I really appreciate you telling me how it is without insult. I great appreciate your word choices and I understand what I drew might’ve offended you. I want to personally apologize t o YOU because you have shown the most compassion without insult. I’m very sorry I drew a war bonnet on a furry, I suppose that the symbol I used for “connection with nature” wasn’t correct and I did not mean to glorify the ‘wrong use’ of the headdress. How I saw it was more appreciative the diverse cultures of Native rather than offensive because I love the artifacts, way of life, people, history ect ect. Again thank you for being the most calm.

I wish I knew how to explain this to you, but since I do not know you it is hard to make a proper comparison. If someone stereotyped you and drew something, that mocked you and your culture, you may be mad to the point of insulting the person who did it too. When someone sees something racist many feelings may rush over that person: anger, defensiveness, pain, fear, etc, etc. When someone does something racist towards another person that person is allowed to feel angry. The same way if I drew a picture mocking you, you would have a right to be angry at me. I am no more valid than tigethevampirqueen. My calmness shouldn’t grant me a polite response when she was not given the same courtesy. I am grateful that you are hearing what I am saying but I wish you wouldn’t ignore her just because she reacted in a way that you didn’t like. We all make mistakes and we should learn from them, rather than being angry at the messenger. This could be a blessing in disguise. It may hurt your feelings but you could take this experience and become a better person because of it. I am constantly learning everyday and I am so glad of it; because my goal is to be a kind person. I want to be someone who doesn’t hurt anyone else. Please give this some thought.
