you should research tone policing. oppressed groups are not obligated to be nice to their oppressors; in fact, niceness has never (ever) stopped any acts of oppression.
Why does it have to be either/or? Be nice to the people that are nice, and be dicks to the people that are dicks to you. It’s that simple. To actively seek out and attack people in a majority for just being who they are is what I’m saying is wrong.
I think you should be more worried about the people of color who are targeted by white people just for being who they are.
I do worry about them lol. That’s what this ENTIRE post is about. I was complaining about the majority getting shit on, yes. But if you read the tags in one of my previous posts, I go on to say, “WHY CAN’T PEOPLE JUST BE FUCKING NICE TO PEOPLE” and that’s really all I’m trying to say. Point blank, that simple. I’m tired of people being shit on for being who they are. I just want equality for all. That’s it.
oppressors should not be treated nicely. and no, your post shows more concern for the oppressors than the oppressed
because that mindset is really going to get everyone to be treated equally.
equality will not happen while white people are more concerned with not getting their feelings hurt over actual acts of racism against people of color.
