Ignorance is a choice. She made a statement, a statement that attempted to silence Native Americans from complaining about racism against them. She didn’t ask any questions. She didn’t ask: is this offensive? why is this offensive? what are your feelings about this? No, she made a statement justifying cultural appropriation. I feel no pity for her. She is a racist. And if I ignore her how will that benefit anyone? Sure it would benefit her; she cannot stand being told she is a racist. But would it help any Native people who she is promoting racism against? Nope. I am not hear to coddle racists.
