I'm very curious about Little Bear. So she is white, and Native, but she identifies as Native. But, what is she to the government? Not saying that it matters, but I'm also Native and white, but to the government im documented as white.

what do you mean by government? census? birth certificate? roll number? tribe enrollment?
She has a roll number from my side and a roll number on her biological father’s side. She’s recognized by the school district as Native American and is enlisted in the California American Indian Education Program. So, I guess the government recognizes her as Native.
