How the hell do you equate wanting more money with being materialistic? What is she supposed to live off of? Respect? Respect does not put food on the table, clothes on your back, or roof over your head. Respect does not pay bills or college tuition.

Not to mention my ego is not important. I want my child’s respect but I will gladly pick her health and safety over it. I am not afraid of playing a villain if it means she will have a better life.
