white privilege doesn’t mean you will be in perfect health throughout your entire life. You are making an exaggeration in attempt to deny white privilege exists.
I think this may be a comment on the fact that white girls with white cis girl privilege are often told things like “you’re life isn’t that bad what do you have to be depressed about” and comparing the illness tonsillitis with depression/other mental illnesses. Although having white privilege I have also been told many times that I can’t be depressed because I have a privileged life style (I have been told this by doctors, peers, lots of people. That’s just what I get from it anyway =/
Depression, and the denial of depression, was not mentioned in the original post. If someone is telling you that you do not have depressing because you are white that is wrong.
