Your argument is invalid. Someone else is not offended so you shouldn’t be, is not a valid argument. You are attempting to silence people of color and their experiences. The number of Irish people who were enslaved is a small fraction of the amount of African American people who were enslaved. And the discrimination the Irish faced, by their fellow white people, is not the same as the hatred white people had/have for African Americans. The Irish were the first to be freed and their enslavement decreased dramatically when the African American slave trade began.

It’s gross that when I took African American History courses the teacher, who was white, primarily focused on Irish slavery.
