I'm not the guy you're talking to, but I can tell you that they're trying to address a problem at its source. You're right, that kid is the bigger "villain," but you know what? Getting harassed and doxxed by the people you were just speaking out against is only reinforcing his hatred of that group, and it's not like you don't know that already. That person was right, this wasn't consequence, it WAS vengeance, and while that's your choice, that's fine, but own up to it instead of making excuses.

People sending angry calls did not make him racist. His racism is a learned behavior, that is reinforced by media, school, and probably his family. And he would have continued on believing his racist beliefs with or without the phone calls. He is racist, he would make up any excuse to be racist to defend his beliefs.
