Today I listened to a couple researchers/educators and one of them told us about how she actually got in trouble for using american indians as an example when talking about social work. Another educator was like "how is talking about native americans even relevant to learning about social work?" So then I guess into some huge thing where she had to be reviewed by the board. Of course the Dean agreed with her. But wow isnt it amazing how there is still so much ignorance?
