i think people are starting to forget that others can be racist to whites too, and that it hurts just as much. and when people see someone saying something racist, most instantly think of white people. and what annoys the crap outta m e is that the word ‘nigger’ is a big no-no but ‘cracker’ isn’t….

racism = prejudice + power

because white people are the oppressive power they do not experience racism. white people can experience prejudice and/or discrimination but not racism.

when someone from an oppressive group insults someone from an oppressed group it is more harmful than if a person from an oppressed group insults someone from an oppressive group.

and the term cracka/er is not harmful, and no where near as harmful as the n word is.
