sometimes i get really annoyed with the fact that if i were to say how proud i was of my heritage, i would be shot down by a lot of people for being racist or told to check my privilege or whatever. there is nothing wrong with being a white person and being proud of that fact, and in future i’m not going to pretend i’m not. :)
what is it that you are proud of? Is there something in your people’s past that is so cool that it makes you forget the genocide of Native Americans, the enslavement of African Americans, genocides committed all over the world, forced assimilation, etc, etc.
