Personally, it makes me feel really uncomfortable. Granted, I'm not interested in men romantically or sexually, any man who's done any chivalrous act for me has, without fail, had ulterior motives. Either they wanted sex or it was just for show and not genuine. Of course, this isn't to say it's typical, but it has been for me.

I can understand this. That’s why I mentioned motive. I had similar experiences where the guy being “nice” was only doing it in hopes to “score”. I am not okay with that. But if you happen to find someone to date who is helpful and considerate then that is pretty lucky. Thanks for sharing <3
