I think that the way to equality is by recognizing that we're all human, not that just one race, culture, group of religious peoples is human. Culture and regional customs are respectable, but they're just as dividing as they beautiful. "I want you to respect me and see me as human, but because your skin is a different color; you can't be involved in my culture's customs" is what I see.. We can't have equality when we aren't being equal. Education is louder than telling someone "you are wrong".

Having a closed culture is not segregation.
There is a difference between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation.
