You know, the more I see SJWs complain about Cultural Appropriation, the more I think that they are simply trying to bring back cultural segregation, create strong divides between different ethnicities and cultures, and to make sure that immigrants maintain a sense of Othering and Exotification……

the opposite of hate is not homogeneity. Advocating to live in a society that says “hey we are not the same and that’s okay”; I don’t want to live in a society that tries to blend everything together just to pretend to look non-racist.

cultural appreciation is a good thing, cultural appropriation is a bad (racist and damaging) thing.

If you have to take one stereotyped aspects of a culture, that is not your own, to respect the people of that culture then you are prejudice.

You don’t have to participate in, or take from, a culture to respect the people of that culture.

Having closed cultures does not promotes segregation.

"having closed cultures does not promote segregation"

don’t you see how much you are contradicting yourself with that sentence?

Um… Did indigenous-rising ever read or hear about anything pertaining to recent history in regards to what happens when you deliberately close off groups of people and try to prevent them from mixing? Ever?

Don’t think those reservations really worked out for the people who were sent to live there.  But I don’t think she was talking about physically separating them, just preventing cultural diffusion as much as possible.

there is a difference between cultural diffusion and cultural appropriation.

there is a difference between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation.
