Why do Native Americans refer to themselves as Indians? Aren't those people from Indian? Christopher Columbus gave you all that label.

It differs from each individual. I cannot speak for the Native peoples who refer to themselves as “Indian” but I will generalize that it is not from ignorance. They know they aren’t from India and they know that “Indian” was an incorrect name, but I would guess that for some people it was put on them for so long that it comes as a natural reply.
