Answer

In general: they hold an oppressive position of power and typically enjoy their position, and have no intention of giving it up.

Personally:(as in the one’s I have met, with the exception of maybe two)

  • They have trouble believing or admitting to having white privilege.
  • They like things “the way they are”; they enjoy their unfair advantages and privileges and wouldn’t change it if they could.
  • They make offensive jokes about racism, women, rape, violence, etc.
  • They believe women are asking to be raped.
  • They justify their friends’ behaviors who have raped or committed sexual assault.
  • Every man who has ever raped me and molested me were white men.
  • All the men who raped my friends have been white men.
  • They don’t get in trouble for the sh*t they do; and when they do it’s a slap on their wrists.
  • All the men who have called me racist slurs and made racist stereotypes against me were white men.
  • I am afraid they will attack me.
