God it’s exhausting dealing with white girls trying to tell me dream catcher tattoos aren’t offensive.
Dream catcher tattoos aren’t offensive, I see no reason why they are or even could be. Having the yin/yang symbol tattooed on you isn’t offensive, nor is any other religious symbol/ethnic symbol unless it is meant in a way to offend.
I hate that mentality. That my opinions are worthless because I was born white. I think dream catchers are cool. Should I not be allowed to buy one/draw one/get a tattoo of one/tattoo one on a POC because I am white?
I can’t even cope with the ignorance here.
And they ARE offensive! Regardless of the intent. Because the symbol still remains the same and that symbol perpetuates the stereotyping of a whole culture.
Just because you think you have the priveledge to disregard the hundreds of thousands of people who have spoken out and said its offensive, doesn’t mean you’re right.
And did I honestly just read that somebody thinks their opinions are worthless because of the colour they were born??????
Oh no! I wonder if a Native American would know what that was like?
Somebody please think of the white people!
And no you shouldn’t get one, because it’s racist as hell.
