So the “n word” was given to the slaves to degrade them and make them less than human. “Nigger” has a double meaning, which implies ignorance and stupidity. If African Americans are trying to gain equality and to be respected among white people (which I’m not blaming black people at all this is totally on white people I understand that) then the “n word” should just stop being used (by everyone). I’m just giving a suggestion.
Um, no. “nigger” does not mean ignorance and stupidity. It is a derogatory word used to deem African Americans as low class, subhuman beings. It in no way shape or form has ever meant ignorance and stupidity.
And furthermore, where do you get off saying that black people need to do to gain acceptance? You cant tell me you’re not racist with an idiotic ideal like that. An entire race needs to change or stop doing something to please you? Please, shut up. I dont need to stop saying something to be ‘respectable’ to your race. The idea that me using the word isnt ‘respectable’ in the first place shows your ignorance. Whites were still respectable when they were using it, but oh the blacks are reclaiming it so now its not respectable?
If blacks want to reclaim the word or dont want to, its completely up to them. We do not now nor ever will need your irrelevant opinion on the matter.
