Blood quantum is important it keeps us "Indians" from breeding ourselves out of a Tribe. If it isn't important all the people who claim Native can just change their names and pretend to be Indian as you see on tumblr. That is cultural appropriation.
My father is Native American, my mother is White with some small amount of Native blood. I have a roll number. I was raised in a Native American community. My blood is Native, my culture is a Native culture. If you refuse to believe I am Native then why waste your time on me? Why devote all this time to insulting me? If I am a liar then why would you want to talk to me?
