Why is it ok for an Asian/African/Hispanic American to be offended by being called such because they want to be called Filipino/Jamaican/Cuban/whatever specific ethnicity they are, but when a white person gets offended because they are German/English/Russian/any other “white” ethnicity, we’re being pretentious cunts?
might have something to do with how the media erases people of color and when a person of color is finally in the media they are stereotyped and lumped into one group. the media overwhelmingly portrays White people.
