Stop trying to find some smidgen of blood to justify misusing cultural items. I am Native American, but if I wear a warbonnet, it would be cultural appropriation. I haven’t earned the right to wear one; therefore, if I did wear one I would be appropriating the cultures who traditionally practice the use of warbonnets. I also have a drop of Irish blood, which has nothing to do with my culture at all; therefore even though I have some tiny fraction of Irish heritage doesn’t mean I can steal from their cultures. If it is not your culture do not attempt to dress up as stereotypes of those cultures. It doesn’t matter if you have some “Spanish” blood in you; that doesn’t automatically mean that your culture is in any way Spanish.
