how I got extra credit for being late to class
- I left the house extra early so I could get coffee before class
- There was a new employee working who took 20 mins to make the coffee
- Everything in me told me to leave without the coffee even though I had paid for it.
- Being forced to stop at every light.
- Finally getting on campus and to my classroom.
- Turning the knob and realizing it is locked.
- Stare at the time, 3 minutes late, and freaking out.
- Knock quietly on the door.
- Someone lets me in.
- Teacher stops class. [This is it, I’m dead]
- Teacher asks if the door was locked; I answer “yes”.
- He asks me to unlock the handle.
- I become confused and try to unlock the handle, once, twice, then the third time I finally got it right.
- The teacher enjoys my humiliating attempt and laughs at me.
- Teacher feels guilty for laughing at me and gives me extra credit.
