Actually in Texas, a Hispanic female gets more scholarship money than any other type of student. I think affirmative action is both degrading to people of color, because it assumes they are not smart enough to keep up with white students, and also oppressive to the white students who get the grades to get into that university, but are denied because their spot was taken by someone of color with worse grades than them. This has happened to me personally.

- The U.S., as a whole, gives more scholarships to White people than people of color.
- Affirmative action has nothing to do with assuming someone is dumb but letting them in anyways, it is about assuring a spot to students of color who meant the qualifications and requirements.
- White students aren’t at war with PoC to get into college; you are at war with everyone. College is far more prominent now than it was before, more people have degrees, double majors, minors, etc. The bigger universities have higher expectations. If someone got in and you didn’t it is because you were expendable. To get a job or to get into another college, a person has to be indispensable; they have to have extra, be unique and special.
