This person debating white privilege, I kid you not, sounds like my mother. I'm lily white and my privilege is obvious to me, yet my straight, white, cisgender, christian, conservative mother living in the Capitol of Wyoming (for crissakes) acts like she's the most oppressed of all people.
We are all in different places in our lives; what we know and are aware of is different for everybody. Your mother is your loved-one, you must accept her for who she is; and maybe someday she will be able to hear you and learn from you. :) Thanks for sharing this with me. The person who I reblogged who doesn’t believe White privilege is a real thing is just unaware, that can change.
