I'm a white-passing L'nu (Mi'kmaw) and am always assumed white. Some people understand that I don't identify as white, and to call me white is rude, but not everyone understands that, so when I read the posts about people calling your daughter white, it really annoyed me! How dare they say that shit?! Not only is it rude to talk about your daughter, but to decide her identity for her is just absolute bullshit and I'm sorry that you had to deal with those people :/
