Can a minority experience white privilege? My boyfriend and I are in an argument about the definition of "white privilege." One of us believes that only caucasians experience white privilege by definition. The other believes that anyone can experience white privilege if they were exposed to the same environment growing up as many privileged white people are: for example, an Asian-American whose parents were doctors and had a lot of money has white privilege. Which is true?

That would be a different kind of privilege. White privilege is only experienced by White people. People of any race or ethnicity can experience rich privilege but it doesn’t mean they unfairly benefit from being White. White privilege does not mean rich. White privilege is having unfair advantages that PoC do not receive.
