ok yeah no that’s a really good point. Don’t ignore it. Stay aware of it. Just don’t talk about it, because suppressing issues always solves them. And if we don’t discuss it, don’t create awareness of systemic and institutional racism, don’t start a dialogue about how to solve it, it’ll go away. Don’t you fucking dare discuss it, even when it leads to children being shot. Don’t bring up race, even when it leads to sexualization of women of color that absolutely corresponds to higher rates of sexual assault. Don’t talk about racism and things that are designed to constantly other, hurt, exclude, and make human beings feel like they are less than what they are because if you fucking talk about it, then YOU are the problem.
