About Harry Potter, were you aware of the controversy surrounding the recasting of Lavender Brown in the Half Blood Prince? She should have been casted with a Black actress :( Granted, she was never explicitly described in the books, which unfortunately codes for White since White Privilege makes White authors not describe race unless the character is not White, but still, in the previous movies when Lav was a background/non speaking character she was played by TWO Black actresses. (continued)

“(continued) But then her character becomes “important” in the sixth movie because she has to kiss a White main character, so she was “properly" recasted with a White actress. Jessie Cave played the role beautifully, but I have to say I was very disappointed. I mean she was previously played by TWO Black actresses, her character had OBVIOUSLY been established as Black in the films, why not cast another Black actress for the sake of continuity and—dare I say it—DIVERSITY? :( sorry, rant over.“

Feel free to rant. Yes, I saw a post about it on tumblr ( :p ) and did not know, while watching the movies, that Lavender Brown was even on the movies before the 6th film, but she was. And whoever was in control over changing actresses did so out of racism. They couldn’t bare the idea that a hero-sidekick-co-star could have a love interest who is Black. It is distressing.
