Actually the mohawk hairstyle came from the Mohawk, Mohican, and Pawnee Native Americans, hence the name. Many of the Mohicans were wiped out.

and i think it is extremely messed up that White people wiped out a lot of those people and then took the hairstyle and used it as some prideful ratification for Punk/ scene style

and a lot of people of different ethnicities wear it today. But i guess it is fine … I’m not from those tribes so i can’t say
