I was stung by a bee yesterday and I am very allergic to them. I went into anaphylactic shock, took my medicine and recovered. But the area where I was stung is purple and hurts and the purple color is spreading. It is three times the size it was this morning…

My grandma (who was allergic) treated herself because she didn’t trust doctors. When she got bitten by a brown recluse her calf turned black and she cut it off. When she got stung by bees she would cut it open and drain her blood to get the poison out.

Is that what I should do?

  3. fiberandfumes answered: Alternating warm and cold cloths on the area where you were stung should help with the swelling

  5. kproudmess said: …your grandma cut off her calf?
  6. grassflowergrey answered: Crushed up aspirin on top of the bee sting site apparently draws the stinger + the venom out. My grandma used to do it for us all the time
