I don't understand why people think these things are harmless? They do hurt us. They hurt how people think of us, too. How would anyone else feel if their cultural identity was reduced to some singular shoddy caricature? And people thought that that's how you actually are? It feels like we're not even HUMAN sometimes. People think we're wild savage costumes who go around wearing feathers and speaking pidgin English. How is that not harmful?
