How do you feel about white girls standing up for native rights? Even if you're not native you can still speak out for them right?

part of me gets defensive and thinks: we can speak for our selves, thanks.
another part of me: absolutely. use any privileges you have to fight for a good cause.
another part of me: speak with us not for us.
another part of me: the more the merrier.
So to truly answer your questions, yes, you should be doing what you can to fight for indigenous rights as long as you aren’t attempting to talk over us (not accusing you, just specifying). Sometimes, many times… too many times some white people (especially political ones) will not listen to the voices of people of color. During those times are when white people need to make a stand.
Sorry for the confusion. I have been to several Idle No More events and never thought twice when I saw a white person and/or white passing Native person. Unite. Idle No More.
