I did not disrespect her, and I never said she didn't live through some terrible things; as a child, as one of the FEW Native women to get any credit whatsoever, she was one of my heroes (along w white woman Clara Barton & black woman Harriet Tubman). I also know that her very racist husband took her to England to show her off, where she contracted smallpox (that didn't exist here in her nation) and she died. It was a joke, which apparently I know how to make but you don't know how to take.

Your joke is offensive. Mocking historical heroes is offensive. Pretending to be an historical hero is offensive. Using a historical hero as a costume or character is offensive. I don’t understand why you think it is okay to call yourself Pocahontas but if you enjoy hurting and offending others then what can I do about it?…*sigh*
