When I was a kid, I always wanted to be an American Indian. Or one of the First Nations in Canada. I still have that wish, in fact, deep inside of me. I’m so fascinated by their culture and especially the way they treat this...

First of all, every tribe has their own culture and their own beliefs. All these ideas you have of “Native culture” you learned off of Disney’s Pocahontas. Inaccurate.

“you mustn’t hurt any other being for they are a part of you."  First of all, what do you think we ate back then? Meat, nuts, fruits, all of which are alive, until we kill it. My tribe always used prayer after every kill to respect the being we had killed; however, that doesn’t mean ALL tribes did.

In your statement you used the term "Native culture” instead of cultures. Again, hundreds of tribes, all of which have their own culture.

Also you want to meet some random “First Nation Tribe” just so you can buy Native-made moccasins? So you want to use a tribe so YOU can feel more “in-touch with the earth” and get some cool new shoes. You never mentioned what you plan to contribute. You just want to take a feeling and an object and then be on your way.
