War bonnets are only sacred within the native community. Get over the fact that nobody else shares that perspective. Just find some other sacred object from another culture and have fun with it. I'll donate you some catholic stuff and you can dress up as a Catholic and have fun. Then you will feel better. Because it doesn't hurt anyone who isn't looking specifically to be offended.

No thank you, I will not appropriate religious articles. It is wrong to steal items from other cultures when one has neither earned them nor been given permission to use them. That is stealing. Many Native Americans have complained and denied public access to this item. So why is it okay for people to want to dress up and pretend to be Native when they are showing no respect to actual Native peoples?

The tribes that the warbonnet originates from has declared that the warbonnet is not to be used outside their culture.

Cultural appropriation does hurt Native peoples. These racist costumes promote the idea that we are a myth of the past, a costume, that we are subhuman. This is very harmful. Not only to the health and wellness of Native people but also to the entire world. When a group of people are viewed as subhuman violence and oppression towards that group is inevitable.
