Why should I ask them when I am part of it? Like you said it was racial slur to begin with but now, we refer to ourselves as gypsies or Roma. I appreciate what you are trying to say I really do and I love how you feel so strongly about it all and I don't mean to offend you, I just meant personally as a gypsy in a gypsy community we do not mind the term - sorry if I came across rather harsh :(

I do not understand why you would use such a cruel word to describe yourself. Why shouldn’t you ask other Romani people about it?
