About the whole Lone Ranger and Tonto debate, I talked it over with my dad (and I agree with him wholeheartedly about this) and he was questioning why this movie was being made in the first place. Because Tonto, the Native American character Johnny Depp will be playing, means ‘stupid’ in Spanish. The character’s own name is a mockery in enough itself. Tonto was never made with good intentions, his whole image is a huge joke.
