keeping pieces to your cultural only is racist. indians were about sharing and being together and for u to say no one who isnt indian can wear a headdress then u are the one who is racist.

Who are you to say what all “Indians” do? Stereotyping an entire race in attempt to justify cultural appropriation is invalid.

Warbonnets are not meant to be shared; I am Native but I can’t wear one without it being appropriated, because I haven’t earned it.

Once again, there is a difference between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation.

Ex. Cultural appreciate: Person goes to a powwow sees a piece of jewelry and talks to the seller about the meaning behind it, what it means, how they made it, why they made it, buying it, and then wearing it.

Cultural appropriation: Person buys a costume warbonnet, that they nothing about, in attempt to look “spiritual” in a photo shoot.
