makes me sick when i see ppl like this daughter-of-nature

who think they have a right to take whatever they want from any culture

and then call us bullies when we say no.

entitled, spoiled little racist.

“U CANT DO THAT UR WHITE!”…

-Just a note, only 1.5% of the U.S. population are registered Native Americans. There is a registry you have to sign up for and be accepted into in order for any Native American to take you seriously when you claim to be one or part of the culture. You also have to have a set percentage of ancestry, and live on a reservation/trust land to get in. Having “native blood!” RARELY counts if it’s less than half, which yours appears to be since you’re as pale as I am. I’m as likely to believe your claim of it being your culture as I am to believe a 14-year-old that says she’s a Wiccan. (And yes, there are requirements to get into that too.) I will happily take back what I just said and apologize for not believing you if you can prove otherwise. (No, “U CANT TELL ME WHAT RACE I IDENTIFY AS” doesn’t count, because identifying as a race doesn’t make you part of it.)

-Because wearing jewelry given to as a gift by somebody who is Native American, or being invited to a party by somebody who is Native American is totally racist and cultural appropriation. No, I’m not saying it’s okay to do something like wear a war bonnet or eagle feathers for fun if you didn’t earn it. But for fucks sake, jewelry was meant to be decorative, how DARE somebody wear it like a decoration!? APPROPRIATIONSZ!

One last thing, the biggest reason I doubt you’re really part of the Native Culture, because ALL of the registered Native Americans I’ve met are all for spreading their culture for awareness for the sake of it not dying off. (It’s in danger of that, BTW. Let me point back to the REALLY small number that is the percentage of Native American people.) You on the other hand are just acting like every other dumb ass on Tumblr so you can get brownie points for being a victim. Good job.

Feel free to screencap this to all of your white-tears/ social justice blogs if it pisses you off that much, though. Your social justice anger makes my white privilege go doki-doki.

white privilege<– trying to tell me how to be my own race and denying that i am my own race.

wearing Native made necklaces is not cultural appropriation. I have discussed what is and is not appropriation over and over. daughter-of-nature was declaring that she had the right to wear costume warbonnets and that we are “bitching” about it.

I don’t care if you don’t believe that I am Native. I know who I am and I won’t be broken because you feel entitled enough to tell me how to be Native.
